Honda Cars India has launched the 2026 City in the Indian market. The updated version of the sedan comes at an introductory price of Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom) and is the second major update since 2023. With this, the brand aims to keep the City fresh in the midsize segment to compete against rivals like the Volkswagen Virtus, Skoda Slavia, and Hyundai Verna. The 2026 City comes with a major design overhaul. The first thing that grabs attention is the completely new front fascia. It consists of a new design for the headlamp flanking a new grille with a honeycomb pattern and connected by a light strip. The car also sports the new logo of the brand, placed between the hood and the grille. All of this is brought together by a new design of the bumper with triangular trims on the side.

The sedan maintains its silhouette with pull-style door handles and a new design of the alloy wheels. The rear end of the sedan also gets updated with smoked taillights and vertical reflector units. Furthermore, the boot lid now seems to have a cleaner look with an integrated spoiler. The rear end of the bumper has also been redesigned. Complementing the updates are paint schemes like Crystal Black Pearl, Radiant Red Metallic, Obsidian Blue Pearl, Platinum White Pearl, Lunar Silver Metallic, and Meteroid Gray Metallic.

2026 Honda City: Powertrain

The Honda City facelift continues with the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine. The unit is tuned to produce 121 hp of power and 145 Nm of peak torque. It is paired with either a six-speed manual or a CVT gearbox. Meanwhile, the hybrid version of the car gets a 1.5-litre engine with electric support producing 126 hp of power and 253 Nm of peak torque. The hybrid powertrain offers a mileage of up to 27.26 kmpl.
