A video circulating on social media shows a Mahindra BE 6 electric SUV charging while towing a generator. While the video has gained significant views and become a source of amusement for some viewers, others have expressed disbelief and questioned its authenticity. At first glance, the scene appears dramatic; however, a closer inspection reveals that digital trickery is at play.
Viral Video: Mahindra BE6 Charging Using Generator
The viral video is being shared on social media with claims that the Mahindra BE6 electric SUV was pulling a generation while charging itself during the process. Taking a closer look at the video revealed that it is AI-generated. At first glance, the electric car seems to have an authentic number plate, but in the next frame, the plate turns into gibberish. Furthermore, a rickshaw overtaking the video is distorted.

The video was likely first shared by an Instagram account 'viiztrrix', which regularly shares AI-generated videos. It shared the video with the hashtag "ai," reinforcing the fact that the video has been created using the software. This is not the first video of this kind to go viral on social media with false claims. Earlier, the same user had shared another AI video of a Mahindra Thar lodged into a signboard.
Why It's Not Possible?
An electric SUV, such as the Mahindra BE6, cannot be charged while driving. This limitation is due to the safety systems installed in electric vehicles, which prevent the car from moving while it is still connected to a charger. Therefore, it is impossible for the vehicle to operate with the charging gun attached. The only way to charge the battery while driving is through regenerative braking, a feature found in most electric vehicles that helps recover some energy and reduce power loss.
