Ducati has unveiled the Hypermotard 698 Mono Nera, expanding its single-cylinder supermoto lineup in international markets. The new variant is scheduled to reach European dealerships in June 2026 and introduces a revised visual identity along with additional standard features.

In terms of equipment, Ducati has made its Quick Shift (DQS) Up/Down system standard on the Nera variant, aiming to improve gear transitions and overall riding experience. The model continues to focus on delivering a street-oriented supermoto package with a balance of performance and everyday usability.

Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono Nera: Engine

Powering the motorcycle is Ducati's 659 cc Superquadro Mono single-cylinder engine, which produces 77.5 hp and revs up to 10,250 rpm. The engine is derived from the larger 1299 Panigale platform and incorporates Ducati's Desmodromic valve timing system along with a massive 116 mm piston. It also shares several internal components and engineering concepts with the brand's superbike range.  This makes it one of the highest-performing single-cylinder engines on the market. The Hypermotard 698 Mono has a kerb weight of 151kg (excluding fuel), contributing to its agile handling characteristics.

Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono Nera: Features

The electronics suite remains comprehensive, featuring cornering ABS with a dedicated Slide-by-Brake function, traction control, wheelie control, engine brake control, launch control, and multiple riding modes. Ducati also offers an optional racing Termignoni exhaust for track use, which increases power output by an additional 7hp.

Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono Nera: Price

The Hypermotard 698 Mono Nera is priced at EUR 13,990 (approximately Rs 15.61 lakh). Ducati has not yet confirmed plans for its introduction in the Indian market.
