Recent spy shots from Indian roads show the BMW F 450 GS and Norton Atlas GT undergoing tests side by side, hinting at advancing preparations for their local debuts. Both motorcycles, already unveiled at EICMA 2025, are being developed and produced by TVS Motor Company. These models represent growth in India's adventure bike market, as local manufacturing could improve pricing and availability.
The sightings come amid efforts to fix supply chain hurdles and sync production schedules. While no firm launch dates have been confirmed, the BMW F 450 GS is expected to arrive around the 2026 festive season, though the German brand may prioritise international markets first. The Norton Atlas GT, part of a lineup that includes the standard Atlas, Manx, and Manx R, could follow by late 2026, positioning it as a premium touring option.

Norton Atlas GT
In contrast, the Norton Atlas GT targets a higher segment with its 585cc parallel-twin, producing nearly 70bhp for stronger performance. Designed for touring with premium touches befitting Norton's heritage, revived under TVS ownership, it aims to compete against the Kawasaki Versys 650 and the teased Royal Enfield Himalayan 750. The shared testing reflects efficient use of TVS's facilities, though timelines remain uncertain as final tweaks continue.
