What all of us have been waiting to happen is finally taking shape, it seems - a dual-sport motorcycle with the Bajaj badge. A recent picture of a camouflage motorcycle is circulating on the internet, being referred to as the upcoming Hero Xpulse rival from the house of Bajaj. Well, the brand has been tight-lipped about it, but there are certain giveaways that make us accept it as an upcoming Bajaj motorcycle. Firstly, the motorcycle was snapped alongside the Bajaj Pulsar N250.

In the images, the motorcycle can be seen riding on a set of spoke wheels, typical of a dual-spot motorcycle. The rims on this test mule look 19-inch for the front and 17-inch for the rear. As for the suspension, it is sprung on upside-down forks on the front, while a monoshock is put to use at the rear end. For braking duties, there are disc brakes on both ends.

Although it's wrapped under the camo, the overall silhouette is every bit dual-sport. A large off-road style muffler is visible on the front-end with raised handlebars. The tank also gets shrouds on either end. The bend pipe runs around the combustion chamber for a high-set muffler, much like the Xpulse.

The smaller 19-17 inch wheel combination might not excite hardcore trail riders, but it is certainly the most-balanced combination for a dual-sport motorcycle. As of now, it is tough to comment about its engine displacement, but we are expecting that Bajaj could offer numerous; considering how it does with the Pulsar line-up.

The motorcycle is expected to be launched by either the end of this year or early next year. Once launched, it will be a key rival to the likes of the Hero Xpulse 210 and Kawasaki KLX 230. As for features, expect it to come with a TFT LCD instrument cluster, dual-channel ABS with multiple modes, and Bluetooth connectivity.
