Man enters BSF Head Quarters with fake identity, arrested

Ahmedabad: A man has been arrested on the charge of intruding into Border Security Force(BSF)
headquarters in the state capital Gandhinagar, posing as a BSF staffer, state Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) officials said.

"One Ravindra Babu Chaudhary (23) from Jalgaon in Maharashtra has been arrested for impersonating as a BSF personnel and entering its campus using a fake identity card,"
ATS chief Ajay Tomar told mediapersons. Tomar said the activities of Chaudhary seemed suspicious and it cannot be ruled out that he was here to gather information on BSF.

"The BSF frontier here is responsible for manning the Indo-Pak border in Gujarat and Rajasthan making it a very important organisation. And if somebody tries to intrude into the frontier, it is a serious matter," he said.

Two SIM cards carrying contact number of persons in Jammu and Kashmir and some North Eastern states have been recovered from Chaudhary along with five fake identity cards,
including that of a deputy director of Gujarat government's Fisheries department.

Chaudhary has been remanded in ATS custody by a local court for the next five days, he added.
