A leopard was sighted at Anumanpalli area in the district today, creating panic among the local residents.
Some milk vendors saw a leopard crossing the road. Out of fear they returned and informed the Forest Department officials, police said.
Shanmugam, a land owner, said he noticed footprints of a leopard in sugarcane filed, police said.
