Jagan Mohan Reddy assets case: 17 accused, why only one arrest, asks Court
Hyderabad: In the disproportionate assets case against Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Andhra Pradesh High Court has postponed hearing on CBI plea on the bail given to his close aide Vijay Sai Reddy.

The plea will be taken up day after tomorrow. The CBI wants the Vijay Sai Reddy's bail quashed.

The court asked the CBI why, among the 17 accused, only Vijay Sai Reddy was arrested.

Vijay Sai, also financial advisor of Jagan's Group of companies and family auditor of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, is the only person to be arrested in the case against Jagan in January this year.

On March 31, the CBI had filed its chargesheet against Jagan and 12 others including Vijay Sai in the case. Jagan was accused of getting investments of several crores of rupees from firms into his own businesses as part of quid-pro-quo, when his father was the chief minister. Investigators allege that Vijay Sai was the kingpin behind the conspiracy in accommodating the "ill-gotten" money by floating fictitious firms.
