Fans not allowed: According to reports Rajini has requested his fans not to attend his younger daughter's wedding ceremony. In a statement the actor said that though he wanted to invite all the fans to his daughter's marriage, he was unable to do so because of space constraint and logistic reasons. But he wanted their blessings for his daughter
The bride-to-be: And for a change...casting her director's hat aside to play the lead role is the superstar's second daughter - Soundarya.
Introducing, the lucky groom: Ashwin Ramkumar. Unlike her elder sister Aishwarya, who married actor Dhanush, Soundarya's Prince Charming is not from the film industry.The 27 year old groom is a Stanford graduate and in the construction business.
Everything must be perfect: Rajini has himself supervised all the arrangements for the wedding. According to reports the actor has gifted a brand new apartment to Soundarya.
The sultan's daughter: Soundarya is the CEO of Ochre Productions.
Debut venture: Soundarya's- Sultan The Warrior, starring the superstar himself in the animation film...is set for a release this year. Rajini has lent his voice to the lead character in the project, with music provided by AR Rahman.
Dashing duo: Almost every celebrity in town attended the engagement a few months ago. And at the recent Mehendi ceremony, Rajinikanth is said to have joined in to sing popular Tamil songs.
Celebrity friends: Kamal Hasan, Surya with wife Jyothika, and other big names of the Tamil film industry attended the engagement.
Political heavyweights to attend: Bigwigs from the film industry as well as the political fraternity will be attending the ceremony. Chief Minister M Karunanidhi who attended the engagement along with his family is also expected to be a part of this marriage.
Ash to be here too?: Rumour mills are abuzz that Aishwarya Rai, who is Rajinikanth's co-star for the upcoming movie Robot, may attend the wedding. Rajinikanth's dear friend and director K Balachandar and director of Enthiran, S. Shankar are also expected to attend.
Rajini's wedding photo: Rajinikanth married Latha Rangachari, on 26 February 1981, at the age of 31 in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh and they have two daughters named Aishwarya Rajinikanth and Soundarya Rajinikanth. His wife, Latha Rajinikanth currently runs a school named The Ashram.

Sci-fi thriller: Enthiran is a Tamil science fiction film co-written and directed by S. Shankar. The film features Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai in the lead roles with A. R. Rahman working on background score and soundtrack. Produced by Kalanidhi Maran, it is known for being the most expensive Asian film ever made. Enthiran is also slated to make the largest worldwide opening for an Indian film, upon release.
