Madurai:
In some parts of the world, the announcement of Prince William's wedding to Kate Middleton may be of huge interest, but Madurai is busy with its own marriage, thank you very much.
The town is decked out in its finery for the marriage of DMK chief M Karunanidhi's grandson, Durai Dayanidhi, whose father, ML Alagiri, is a member of the Union Cabinet. The bride is Anusha Sitaraman, her father is a lawyer from Chennai.
The wedding is scheduled for Thursday. A grand reception this evening saw the entire Karunanidhi clan and A Raja, who resigned on Sunday as Telecom Minister. Among those expected to attend the wedding are superstars Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth.
