KCR shuns Rosaiah plea, firm on Telangana
Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah visited Telangana Rashtriya Samiti (TRS) chief K Chandrasekar Rao in hospital on Sunday night and asked him to end his fast, but KCR is standing firm on his demand for a separate Telangana state.

And no less than an assurance from the Prime Minister will do.

A bandh called by the TRS for a separate Telangana enters the second day on Monday and the party's chief has been on a fast-unto-death for over a week now.

On Sunday, stung by the two-day bandh call across the Telangana region, the state government withdrew the case that was filed against the TRS chief on November 29 that had resulted in his arrest.

Earlier, TRS supporters went on the rampage in Hyderabad, many of them gathering right outside the hospital where their leader has been admitted.

A delegation of Congress ministers from Telangana region will visit Delhi on Monday.

There are reports that in light of the growing violent protests by TRS cadres, the Assembly session scheduled to start next week may be cut short. Hyderabad has been put on high alert.
