New Delhi:
Sources tell NDTV that the government's auditor - the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) - has submitted a report on the alleged 2G scam to the Finance Ministry and the President. The report is expected to be tabled in parliament within the next 10 days.
Sources say the report estimates that the government lost Rs 1,76,700 crore because of how Telecom Minister A Raja handled the allotment of 2G spectrum.
The spectrum was licensed instead of being auctioned to companies whose eligibility was later questioned by the Opposition, which has repeatedly demanded Raja's resignation over the issue.
