Indore:
Worried over surfacing of serpents at the venue of party's three-day National Council Meeting beginning from February 17 near Indore, the BJP has decided to depute two snake charmers to ensure that reptiles don't harm anyone during the meeting to be held in tents.
"We have decided to depute two snake charmers at the three-day national council meeting venue," Madhya Pradesh Industries and Commerce Minister Kailash Vijaywargiya said on Tuesday.
He said that the township in which the meeting is being organised in tents is far off from the city and was close to forest area. "We don't want to take chances and that's why we have decided to depute two snake charmers round the clock during the meeting," a BJP leader assigned with making of the arrangements during the event, remarked.
Madhya Pradesh Minister of State for Public Health and Family Welfare Mahendra Hardia had seen a serpent crawling at the meeting venue two days back, BJP insiders said.
Few days before Hardia, a snake was noticed at the venue and it was shooed away by some workers.
