Pune blast: Foreigners vow to stay back

Pune: Ila and Davo, the European couple is frantically searching for their two Italian friends who were said to be at the German bakery when they last spoke. But after the blast their phone is not ringing and there is no news from them.

The couple is running from one hospital to another to locate them but with little success.

For the foreigners who not only visit but also live in the Koregaon Park area in large numbers the blast on German Bakery was just too shocking as for many of them this place was like a second home - away from their home.

"We are in a state of shock. I have visited Pune for the first time and this happened. But I won't go back, India is a lovely country," said one of the foreigners.

"It's really very shocking, but I plan to stay on," added another.

The German Bakery was a popular hangout with the foreigners. So the visitors are tense that the attack appears to have been targetted at them, but many of them say they will stay back and fight.
