Chennai:
Just a day after two siblings were kidnapped and murdered in Coimbatore, a class nine student of a private school, who was kidnapped in Chennai on Monday for a ransom of Rs 3 crore has been rescued.
According to the police, the boy has reached home though they have not given out any details of how the rescue operation took place.
The boy was kidnapped soon after he got into his car to return home after school.
Two men with knives forced the driver out and fled in the car.
The vehicle was later found abandoned.
The student's father owns a mine and police suspect business rivalry or a digruntled worker to be behind the kidnap.
