Mumbai:
A 25-year-old Mumbai resident Devendra Goel has been arrested for allegedly having a physical relationship with his 17-year-old college-going neighbour for the last couple of years.
About a month back, the girl learnt from Goel's friends that he had made an MMS clip, but scared it would tarnish her name, she chose to keep silent.
Accompanied by her aunt, the Std XII student lodged a complaint at Kasturba Marg police station on Wednesday.
Police said the couple have been in a relationship for the last two years.
"Over the last couple of years, they have been to guesthouses. He has been arrested for having physical relations with a minor," said a police officer. "We have arrested Goel for raping the girl and for uploading the clip on the net," said Deputy Commissioner of Police Satyanarayan Chowdhary.
"We are also investigating which of his friends received the MMS clip. All those who've misused it will also be arrested."
Reports of medical check-ups conducted on the two are awaited.
