Take risks and don't fear failure: Waheeda Rehman

New Delhi: Take risks and don't fear failure, said Waheeda Rehman, the doyen of Indian cinema, after she was honoured as one of NDTV's 25 global living legends at a moving ceremony in the Rashtrapati Bhavan today.

The 77-year-old actress has acted in over 70 films in a career spanning five decades, and is renowned for her grace and beauty.

After she received the honour from President Pranab Mukherjee, she said, "What matters most in life is good health and a good night's sleep."

She also said it was important to have compassion, which, she added, came "partly from acknowledging we are one."
