Chaibasa:
Four officials of the Jharkhand Mines Department are suspected to have been kidnapped by Naxalites in West Singhbhum district in the state.
According to Superintendent of Police Narendra Kumar Singh, four officials were suspected to have been abducted around 4 pm on Thursday by Naxals from the asbestos mines in the Roro hills near Chaibasa.
The officials did not inform the local police station before visiting the mines, he said, adding that security forces had surrounded the area and a search operation was on to locate them.
