Woman crashes through supermarket injuring 10

Palm Coast, Florida: A woman in the US state of Florida has been charged with careless driving after her car crashed through a supermarket on Saturday, injuring ten people.

The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) charged the 76-year-old woman, Thelma Wagenhoffer, after the incident, which occurred in Palm Coast, Florida.

FHP released video of the crash, showing Wagenhoffer's Toyota Camry accelerate from the car park, and through sliding glass doors into the Publix supermarket store.

FHP Captain Jerry Crews said the car crashed through the store for 40 to 50 feet (12 to 15 metres).

Crews attending the scene said it was a miracle no one got killed.

Three of the injured remained in hospital on Tuesday, including one in a serious condition.

33-year-old Lasaunda Hampton was recovering at home with her 3-month-old baby Tyshawn Davis, who was in the stroller visible in the video and escaped with minor injuries.

Her 15-year-old daughter, Marshanna Jones, required 32 stitches to cuts from glass.

The car crashed through the store for about 40 to 50 feet injuring 10 people. Eyewitnesses said "it was a miracle no one got killed."
