Amid a surge in xenophobia and hate crimes after the historic referendum in Britain in favour of leaving the European Union, a video of racist abuse on a tram in Manchester has gone viral on social media.
The video shows a few boys verbally attacking a man on Tuesday, and saying: "Get off the tram. Get back to Africa."
The man who is targeted is seen wiping his eyes and saying "seven years in the military" as other passengers shout to the teenagers: "Disgusting. You are an absolute disgrace. A disgrace to England."
Three have been arrested - they are 20, 18 and 16 years.
Immigration and an influx of non-British EU citizens into the UK was a key theme of the referendum.
