Google is celebrating Earth Day by posting an animated picture of earth planet on its homepage.
The concept of Earth Day celebration was coined by peace activist John McConnel in 1969 at a UNESCO Conference in San Francisco. It was first celebrated on March 21, 1970.
The idea behind Earth Day celebration is to demonstrate encourage for environmental protection. It is now coordinated worldwide by the Earth Day Network, and celebrated over 192 nations each year.
