While speaking on NDTV's We The People, Ex-director of FSSAI, Pradip Chakraborty, said the surveillance and enforcement structure of the food regulator was really poor. He said that FSSAI was also unable to collect a satisfactory amount of food samples, indicating its lack of ability to enforce rules and regulations.
