NASSCOM Chief On US PERM Suspension: Indian IT Firms Well-Governed, Allegations Need Due Process
In an exclusive conversation with NDTV, NASSCOM Chairperson and CEO Srikanth Velamakanni said the US has the right to enforce its immigration laws and investigate alleged violations. However, he stressed that attracting global talent and protecting American jobs are not mutually exclusive, arguing that skilled workers help build products and services that create jobs. Velamakanni described Indian technology companies as responsible contributors to US growth and emphasised that allegations must not be confused with final findings after due process.
