Dr GV Ramanjaneyulu, Founder and Executive Director at the Centre for Sustainable Agriculture joined the #RangDeIndia telethon and explained the crisis farmers are facing during the Coronavirus lockdown. Dr Ramanjaneyulu said that the lockdown has affected the income of farmers by about 60 per cent. While some farmers were unable to sell their produce as transport was affected, many other farmers are landless as they take land on lease for which they pay high interests.
