This time, the cricket legend set off for a family vacation to Maheshwar, a historic riverside town in Madhya Pradesh. Accompanying him were his wife Anjali, daughter Sara, and his soon-to-be daughter-in-law, Saaniya Chandhok. For those unfamiliar, Saaniya is the granddaughter of businessman and hotelier Ravi Ghai and got engaged to Arjun Tendulkar in August.

On Thursday, September 4, Sachin shared a carousel of pictures on Instagram, offering followers a peek into his Maheshwar sojourn. The first few snaps showed the Tendulkar family posing outside the magnificent Ahilya Fort, perched above the Narmada River. The fort also houses a statue of Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar, who ruled Indore from 1765 to 1796 and later built Ahilya Wada - her personal residence, offices, and audience hall - within the fort.
In another frame, Sachin was seen enjoying a serene boat ride on the Narmada River. Sharing his thoughts, he wrote: "Maheshwar. A place that reflects why Madhya Pradesh is called the heart of Incredible India. Culture, history, heritage, and hospitality rolled into one. From Ahilya Fort to the serene Narmada River, everything was magical. A memorable couple of days with family."
