Reel virus is making people mentally ill. A group of idiots ripped the railway seats and filmed this activity.
Railway police should search and book them under relevant sections to set an example. pic.twitter.com/7NvgSg4GO6
As the video progresses, things only get worse. Two other men are seen hanging from the fittings inside the coach, moving around recklessly and treating the entire space like a playground.
Social media users were quick to identify one of the individuals as Ankit Toppo. While this identification has not been officially confirmed, it has further fuelled the conversation online. The internet reaction has been swift and intense. Many users expressed anger and disbelief at what they were watching, calling the act irresponsible and unacceptable.
One user wrote, "These fools are getting a kick out of this. They're filming videos while ripping out train seats. People like these hooligans need to be dealt with properly." Another commented on the mindset behind such behaviour, saying, "How stupid does one have to be to do this? Look at the smile on his face while his friend destroys the seat. They think they've achieved something. This goes beyond civic sense, it's a punishable offence."
Some reactions reflected deeper frustration with what they see as a growing trend. "They want development but don't understand it. They talk about progress but engage in destruction. Then they complain the country isn't moving forward," one user wrote. Others called for strict action from authorities. "This isn't a joke, it's a crime. Should action be taken or should we ignore it thinking they're just kids?" read one comment.
Another added, "I hope the railway police or RPF teaches them a lesson for destroying railway property." Many also pointed to the influence of social media trends, blaming the need for viral content. "The reel virus is making people lose sense. A group of idiots ripped railway seats and filmed it. Authorities must act and set an example," a user said.
The video has once again raised serious questions about the lengths some individuals are willing to go for online attention.
