From Royal Yacht Britannia To Empire State Building, World's Top Tourist Attractions For 2026 Ranked

The latest list was released as part of Tripadvisor's annual Travelers' Choice Awards Best of the Best rankings. According to the platform, the rankings are based on the number of highly rated reviews and opinions shared by travellers over a 12-month period. Out of more than 8 million listings on the site, only one per cent secured a place on the final list.

Top 5 Attractions In The World For 2026

The attraction that topped the rankings this year is The Royal Yacht Britannia. The historic yacht served as the official royal vessel for the late Queen Elizabeth II and the British royal family for 44 years before being retired in 1997. It is now permanently docked in Edinburgh and open to visitors.

Next on the list is Basílica de la Sagrada Família in Barcelona, the globally renowned church designed by architect Antoni Gaudí. Standing 566 feet tall, it is considered the tallest unfinished church in the world and has been under construction for nearly 150 years.

Gardens by the Bay secured the third spot on the list. Spread across 101 hectares in Marina Bay, the attraction features waterfront gardens, unique plant displays, and futuristic structures.

The Empire State Building in New York City ranked fourth on the list. Although the iconic skyscraper is no longer the tallest building in the world, it continues to attract millions of visitors every year.

Rounding off the top five is Cayman Crystal Caves in Grand Cayman. Located beneath a tropical rainforest near the island's north coast, the limestone caves are known for their spectacular underground formations.

The remaining attractions in the Top 10 list are The Real Mary King's Close; Miniatur Wunderland; Eiffel Tower; Sun Studio; and Cachoeira Boca da Onça.
