Anupam Kher Shares A Glimpse Of Switzerland's Jungfrau Region. Top Things To Do Here

Switzerland is a dream destination for many, and if anything, Bollywood has only doubled our desire to visit the European country. Films like Chandni, Silsila, and Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge have captured the Swiss bliss - featuring snow-dusted Alpine peaks, crystal-clear lakes, and verdant hills. And guess what? Film veteran Anupam Kher is also smitten by Switzerland's unparalleled beauty. After a delightful vacation, the 70-year-old is now returning to India with a bag full of memories, as proven in his latest Instagram entry.

In the post, Anupam Kher can be seen recording a video from the snowy landscapes of Jungfrau as icy winds sweep over his face while he walks on a thick sheet of snow. The Jungfrau Region, located in southwest Switzerland in the Bernese Highlands, is home to stunning glacial lakes, roaring waterfalls and gorgeous valleys. Jungfrau is one of the three distinct mountains here, along with the Eiger and Mönch peaks. It has earned the nickname "Top of Europe." The Jungfraujoch is the highest train station in the region.

Anupam Kher's side note was an appreciation for Bollywood actresses performing song sequences at Jungfrau under freezing temperatures. He wrote, "As I'm on my way back to my beautiful country, Bharat, in the next few days, I'll be posting some of the remaining pics and videos of my trip to Switzerland! Here's one at the snowy peak in Jungfrau! It's supposed to be the highest peak in Europe! Hats off to all the Indian actresses who did song sequences here in just chiffon Sarees in -7 degrees! That's also dedication! I was finding it difficult to stand there wearing five layers of clothes."
