Physicists Develop New Method to Detect Tiny Fluctuations in Spacetime
- Friday January 23, 2026
- Written by Gadgets 360 Staff
Physicists at the University of Warwick have developed a new framework to detect tiny spacetime fluctuations known as “quantum foam,” a long-standing prediction of quantum gravity theories. The study maps different types of spacetime noise to measurable signals in interferometers such as LIGO and smaller laboratory setups. By translating abstra...

First Future Type 1a Supernova Detected: White Dwarf Pair to Collide in 23 Billion Years
- Tuesday April 8, 2025
- Written by Gadgets 360 Staff
Astronomers have discovered a pair of white dwarf stars located about 150 light-years from Earth that are on course to collide and produce a Type 1a supernova in approximately 23 billion years. This is the first such system identified near our region of the galaxy. With a combined mass of 1.56 solar masses, the stars are slowly spiralling toward ea...

Neptunian Ridge Discovery: Scientists Map New Planet Zone in Space
- Wednesday October 23, 2024
- Written by Gadgets 360 Staff
A groundbreaking study by University of Warwick scientists has revealed a new region in space called the Neptunian Ridge. This discovery shows how planets move between harsh desert zones where atmospheres are stripped away and safer savannah regions where they can survive. The research provides crucial insights into planetary migration and evolutio...

Researchers Rediscover 'Lost Planet' Using New Method in Another Step Towards Finding Habitable Planets
- Wednesday July 22, 2020
- Vineet Washington
Researchers from University of Warwick in the UK rediscovered the planet named NGTS-11b using the Next-Generation Transit Survey (NGTS) telescopes in Chile. The planet was originally found in 2018 using data from NASA’s TESS telescope which scans for a dip in light from the star to identify a planet.
