Parental Alcohol Permission Linked To Risky Drinking: Study

Children and teenagers of any age who taste alcohol with their parent's permission are more likely to engage in risky drinking in young adulthood. That was the finding of a new study my colleagues and I published in the journal Addictive Behaviours.

The findings of the study were published in the Journal of Neuroscience and revealed that not only does adolescent drinking raise the risk of adult alcoholism by 15 times, but it also impairs working memory.
