Social activist Swami Agnivesh on Wednesday demanded a judicial probe into his thrashing by suspected rightwing activists and said the attack was pre-planned.

Social activist Swami Agnivesh was thrashed, punched and kicked by a mob allegedly of BJP workers in Jharkhand on Tuesday, on a day the Supreme Court said "mobocracy cannot be the new normal" and held governments responsible for preventing such attacks.

Social Activist Swami Agnivesh was punched, kicked and pushed to the ground allegedly by BJP Yuva Morcha workers in Jharkhand today. The alleged BJP workers had shown black flags and raised slogans against him. The activist had offered a dialogue, but got abuses in return.
