A woman was shot dead in a clash between two groups in Rajasthan's Karauli district on Wednesday evening, police said.

Claiming that riots happened in seven states on the lines of last month's Karauli violence, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Thursday said Union Home Minister Amit Shah should form a panel to probe the root cause behind the clashes.

Special prayers and sundarkand path were organised in two temples of every district in the state on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti (birth anniversary of Hindu God Hanuman).
