Indo-pak Dialogue Issue

China on Friday said India and Pakistan should peacefully settle the Kashmir issue and other disputes through dialogue and expressed its support to the international community, including the US, in playing a "constructive role" to improve Indo-Pak ties.

The US has said the pace and scope for a dialogue on Kashmir depends entirely on India and Pakistan while asserting that normalisation of relations between the two countries is vital.

Pakistan today accused India of using the Pathankot terror attack as an "excuse" to derail the bilateral dialogue process and said that talks are the best way forward to resolve outstanding issues, including "mutual concerns" related to terrorism.

Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif today voiced hope that the comprehensive bilateral dialogue process between Islamabad and New Delhi would move forward in days to come as he underlined that "differences" on all outstanding issues, including on Kashmir can be resolved only through talks.
