35 year old Shivachand from Bihar's West Champaran district died on the spot when he was hit on the head by an iron rod that flung from a reactor that exploded in a chemical factory in the outskirts of Hyderabad.

At least 17 workers have been injured after a chemical factory caught fire in Andhra Pradesh's Srikakulam district this morning. The fire broke out after a blast inside the Nagarjuna Agrichemical factory, said District Superintendent of Police KVV Gopal Rao.

Two employees were killed in a huge fire at a pharmaceutical company at Patancheru near here, police said.The fire broke out Sunday at the chemical factory of Rantus Pharma in Pashamylaram industrial area of Patancheru in Medak district, about 50 km from Hyderabad. The factory was completely gutted.
