Assam Reports Record 92 Covid Deaths, Locks Down Travel Within State

Assam on Monday registered 92 COVID-19 fatalities, its highest so far in a single-day. The state also reported 6,394 new Covid cases, which is also its biggest in a 24-hour period. Of the new cases, 1,100 were from Guwahati.

30% Salary Cut For Assam Chief Minister, Ministers, MLAs In COVID-19 Fight

The Assam Government has decided to deduct 30 per cent salary of the Chief Minister, Cabinet Ministers and MLAs for a period of one year to contribute towards the Covid-19 relief fund in the state.
