Three minor girls hospitalised in Coimbatore after alleged 'sexual abuse' by teacher

Coimbatore: Three minor girls of a primary school at Peelamedu area have been hospitalised after allegedly being sexually abused by their physical education teacher, police said.

They said the matter came to light when a five-year-old girl complained to her grandmother about the teacher, following which her parents and relatives rushed to the private school and demanded action against the accused.

Senior police officials, who visited the school, assured the parents that action would be taken if the teacher was found guilty.

The accused has been taken in for questioning, the police said.

The police said other parents told them about the two other minors who had been similarly abused by the teacher and had been hospitalised.
