Nagapattinam, Tamil Nadu:
A crane barge from Mumbai with 20 crew members onboard ran aground near Nagore on Thursday, official sources said.
The crane barge 'Sushila' was enroute to Paradip in Odisha from Mumbai port when on reaching Karaikal-Nagapattinam sea stretch it started drifting towards the shore due to strong waves and got grounded near Nagore, a little distance away from the Karaikal port, the sources said.
Efforts to bring back the barge to its position in the sea is in progress, they said.
