Suspect Robs Gas Station, Arrested After Getaway Car Runs Out Of Fuel

The suspect's car was found stopped along the highway in the state of Indiana

A man, from La Porte county in the US state of Indiana, suspected of robbing a gas station got away with food, drinks and cigarettes. But he forgot one crucial thing - fuel. His poor decision skills eventually led to his arrest as his getaway vehicle ran out of fuel. Oops!

According to nwitimes.com, the suspect entered a gas station in the Lacrosse area and indicated he was carrying a firearm. He then fled the spot and drove towards a highway with an undisclosed amount of loot. No cash was reported stolen from the store.

But as fate had it, he didn't make it too far. A cop located the suspect and his car stopped along the highway. Police said the suspect, 33-year-old Sean Harris, ran out of fuel. He was also found inebriated with blood alcohol level higher than the permissible limit.

He is currently being held in La Porte County jail without bail, said the police website.
