Mumbai:
A senior police officer in Mumbai who was found at a rave near the city has tested positive for drugs.
Anil Jadhav of the Anti-Narcotics Squad was found at a raid at a resort located mid-way between Mumbai and Pune. The police reached there after being informed that drugs were being used at the party, attended by about 300 people in their 20s and 30s. Ecstasy, cocaine and other drugs were found at the resort.
Mr Jadhav had been arrested along with five other people. Police sources said there was evidence that he had helped organise the drugs for the rave, which had been advertised on Facebook and through text messages.
Mr Jadhav had claimed that he had arrived at the rave before other officers after a source alerted him to the possibility of drugs being sold at the resort.
