Fashion finds inspiration in every nook and corner; be it in the most beautiful destinations of the world or in everyday routines. However, we would have never expected it to be found on the kitchen shelf. New York-based designer label Kate Spade has collaborated with food brand Heinz this summer and though an unlikely partnership, it promises to be a path-breaking one. The Kate Spade x Heinz line features limited-edition accessories and apparel which borrows from the core values of both brands; Heinz's signature red shade and Kate Spade's quirky fashion sensibilities. Being titled as 'condiment couture', the designer collection will allow ketchup lovers to showcase love for their favourite spread and fashion connoisseurs to leave a red-hot spark wherever they go.

The Kate Spade x Heinz designer collection includes totes, pouches, small leather goods, ready-to-wear tees, footwear, keychains, phone cases and more. The iconic red shade of Heinz is seen across t-shirts and totes but what has pipped them has been the iconography of the tearaway sachets being featured over shoes and a purse, complete with a squiggle of stray ketchup that spilled over.

"It's the thoughtful details that bring this collection with Heinz to life; from the embellishment on the tee to the way our 3D ketchup bag looks just like that classic red and white packet. The playful designs are perfect for all of summer's special moments, capturing the spirit of the season," says Jennifer Lyu, the SVP and Head of Design at kate spade new york.

The limited-edition Kate Spade x Heinz collection is priced between USD $45 to $398 (approximately INR 4,000 to INR 34,000) and is available for purchase at select kate spade new york stores and the official brand website.
Fashion is about to get a punch of quirky flavour this season and it's all thanks to this collection.
