Kate Winslet never ceases to amaze with her powerful and versatile performances. Recently, the Titanic actress opened up about her struggles with body image and the pressure of looking perfect in Hollywood. The actress, who is promoting her upcoming film Lee, talked about how comments on her body image impacted her mental health. In an interview with Harper's Bazaar UK, she talked about how criticism tore her down and as a result, she developed an eating disorder. She said, “There was a lot of bullying of me that went on in the media and that did get to me.” Recalling her childhood days she said, “We waste so much time being down on ourselves and I'm just not doing it ever again.”

The actress also spoke about how she stopped exercising altogether before starting filming for Lee so that her body would look automatically soft. Recalling an incident when a crew member commented on her body, she said, “There's a bit where Lee's sitting on a bench in a bikini...and one of the crew came up between takes and said, “You might want to sit up straighter”; to which she replied, “So you can't see my belly rolls? Not on your life! It was deliberate, you know?” The star also revealed how she is proud of her body and how she wouldn't think to cover it up. 

Kate Winslet is an example of how one should always be confident in oneself, haters be darned.
