If never being able to find the things you need everyday - your keys, favourite belt, laptop charger - is a part of your morning ritual, it may be time to get organised and declutter your home. A spacious home is something most of us want - and it is achievable even in small spaces, if only you adhere to a few basic and simple rules. Whether you absolutely love to organise your home or dread it, it is an activity each one of us must endure in order to live in a space that is clean and functional.
Here are a few home organisation strategies that'll help you keep your home clutter free.

1. Have a dedicated clutter zone
It may sound counterintuitive to actually have a space dedicated to clutter, but it can help immensely. Having just one small area where you can leave piles of things when you're not feeling particularly inclined towards tidying up can help you avoid making your entire home a clutter zone. So pick a spot, perhaps by the entrance or in a room that you don't often use, and lay down a storage box there to make it easier and neater. Every time you don't feel like putting something away in its proper place, leave it there. Just make sure to pick it up eventually.
2. Make sure everything lives somewhere
Everything you own must have a home that they go to at the end of the day.
Each of your clothing items ought to have a designated place in your cupboard - have an allotted shelf or drawer for your t-shirts, a separate space for your lingerie and other inner wear, a separate space for your trousers and jeans, and so on. It will make it much easier for you to find things and also make it quicker for you to decide what to wear in the morning.
Your utensils ought to have their own shelves or racks in the kitchen. Make a seperate space for things you use most often and make sure that space is easily accessible.
Organise your dresser by making sure you have cups for your makeup brushes and a storage box for your makeup and other beauty products.
Make sure everything in your home is eventually in it's particular spot at the end of the day.
3. Refrain from buying duplicates
Whether it's utensils, kitchen appliances, home decor items, stationary - if you have one, don't buy a second. What that essentially means is that when you have one item that works well and does the job required, don't buy a second just because it looks prettier. Buying excessive items will only lead to you hoarding items and forgetting what you already have. Be frugal when it comes to buying more of what you already have.
