You've probably already read a whole lot about Radhika Merchant and Anant Ambani's engagement which took place last night. You would have seen that the Ambani residence, Antilla was decorated with thousands of lights, that their pet dog was the cutest ring bearer who came with their engagement rings and that Bollywood's A-listers turned up in style. But we're delving into the most important aspect of the function; what the newly engaged Radhika Merchant looked like.

For her engagement, Radhika chose a traditional colour palette of gold with touches of beige. Her ensemble was a custom Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla ghagra that was elegant and traditional in its touches. Her gold silk tissue ghagra was hand-embroidered with zardozi work and included gold zari, crystals and resham. A hand-made naqshi border also featured in the ensemble. Her quarter sleeve blouse showcased similar embroidery work and she had a sheer dupatta draped modestly over her shoulder, one that was worthy of a traditional bride-to-be.
While you'd expect an engagement of this magnitude to feature a lot of flashy jewels, Radhika chose a sophisticated air as far as her jewellery was concerned. Her diamond necklace and earrings paired gorgeously with her maang tikka, head chain and kamar bandh. Diamond bangles and of course, her engagement ring sparkled on her hands.
Keeping the beauty quotient understated as well, Radhika's face was radiant with touches of gold over her lids and winged eyes with full brows. A touch of colour was visible on her cheeks and a neutral lip completed it. Her hair was worn in a half-up half-down hairstyle with loose waves throughout.
