Rain occurred at isolated places in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram: Rain occurred at isolated places in Kerala. Mainly dry weather will prevail over Lakshadweep.

According to meteorology sources here, Kanjirappally reported a heavy rainfall of 8 cm. The other chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Alappuzha,Kottayam,Chertala,Konni & Kozha 4 each.Another 7 stations reported a rainfall of 1-3 cm.

Minimum temperature rose in Trivandrum district,was above normal in kannur dist & change a little in the remaining districts.Minimum temperature fell appeciably in Alappuzha dist,fell in Ernakulam & Kottayam dist was appeciably below normal in Alappuzha dist & change little in the remaining districts.

Punalur recorded the highest maximum temperature of 36 degree celsius and Alappuzha reported the lowest minimum temperature of 21 degree celsius.

Forecast valid until the morning of March 19, rain or thunder showers will occur at isolated places in Kerala.Mainly dry weather will prevailed over lekshadweep.Outlook no significant change.
