Jharkhand Police Invites Application For Assistant police Post

New Delhi: Jharkhand Police has released job notification for Assistant Police post. The notified vacancies are available at Palamu, Garhwa and Latehar districts of the State. Only those candidates who have cleared matriculation from any recognized school located within the boundaries of Jharkhand are eligible to apply. The maximum age for applicants is 22 years (males) and 25 years (females). Age relaxation for other categories can be found from the official notification.

Palamu district: 200 posts
Garhwa: 200 posts
Latehar: 300 posts

Application Process

The recruitment for Assistant Police post is only for naxal affected police stations in Palamu, Garhwa, and Latehar districts and hence candidates who are permanent residents of these districts will only be selected for the posts. It is advised that applicant should apply only to the district of their permanent residence. 

The application form can be submitted in the required format to the respective police centers of their districts by April 5, 2017 till 5:00 pm. Candidates can also send in their application forms by registered post/speed post. Candidates sending in their application form by post must also send a self-addressed envelope with postal stamp. There is no application fee applicable for this post. 

Selection Process

The selection will be a three-step process. The first stage in the selection process is a Physical Fitness test which will include a 5 Km run for 35 minutes for men and 2.5 Km run for 20 minutes. The Physical Fitness test will only be qualifying in nature.

After the physical fitness test, candidates will have to undergo a medical test which will again be qualifying in nature.

Candidates who qualify physical fitness test and medical test will then have to appear in a writing test. The writing test will have 100 objective and multiple choice questions from general knowledge, vigilance aptitude, logical reasoning, and current affairs.

A merit list will be prepared for candidates who qualify all three rounds.
