Fake currency worth Rs 34.88 lakh recovered from militants in J&K

Jammu: Fake Indian currency with a face value of over Rs 34 lakhs has been recovered from militants by the security and police forces in Jammu and Kashmir in the past 11 years, a ministry report has said.

As per a recent report on security and militancy compiled by the State Home Ministry upto November end, fake currency with the face value of Rs 34,88,755 was recovered from
militants since January 2000.

Fake currency with the highest face value of Rs 14,78,500 was recovered from militants in 2005, while with the lowest face value of Rs 3,000 was recovered in 2010, the report said.
