Jaipur:
Tuesday afternoon brought a sudden shock to Sajjid, a Mumbai based businessman, and his family when they saw their beloved son Ali in a pool of blood.
Ali was hit by a rashly-driven truck, coming from the opposite direction, while he (Ali) was going to buy chocolate along with his friend. The incident took place near Sanjay Nagar in Jhotwara.
"His [Ali's] body was almost cut into pieces. Kids never tell anyone where they are heading for. Had some elder person in the family stopped him he could have been saved," Sajjid said.
With a choked voice, he added, "Ya Allah main Ali ko kaise wapas laon [God how can I get my son Ali back]."
Sajjid now regrets his decision of coming to Jaipur to get his elder son Moinuddhin treated.
The incident took place at around 2 pm when Ali was hit by a speeding truck while he was crossing a road.
Soon after the incident, an angry mob blocked the road and started pelting stones at the truck.
The agitated mob also thrashed the driver of the truck, identified as Gajraj Singh.
According to an eyewitness, the truck driver too had tears in his eyes after spotting the body of the boy.
With the help of police the boy was rushed to the Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital. However, Ali succumbed to his injuries.
