Women's Bill: High stakes political war

New Delhi: Even if the PM does not manage to get Lalu and Mulayam on board, the UPA still has a majority in the Rajya Sabha. So, if and when a vote does take place the government does have the numbers to push the Bill through.   

The government needs 155 MPs to support the Bill but it has 182. That includes MPs of the Congress and its allies.

Janata Dal United

Those ranged against the Bill number 28 and that includes:

AGAINST:

Samajwadi Party
The Rashtriya Janata Dal and
The Bahujan Samaj Party
