Bangalore: Bangalore police have said they are following some leads in the Sri Sri Ravishankar case but are treating it as an incident not an attack.
"We won't consider this as an attack as the shot was not aimed at him. No one has seen attacker. A case filed under the Arms Act and the ashram security will be stepped up," DGP Ajai Kumar Singh said.
The DGP also disclosed that the police had identified the weapon used. It was a .32 calibre gun and the bullet was fired from 700 feet or beyond.
Meanwhile, addressing the press in Bangalore, spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravishankar said he has forgiven the attacker.
"I have no enemies. I can't say why it happened but I will keep spreading my message. I have no fear," he said, adding "I don't want security to block me from people. I forgive the attacker and welcome him to satsang." (Watch: Welcome the attacker to satsang, says Sri Sri Ravishankar)
