SRK-Bal Thackeray truce meet today?

Mumbai: Will Bal Thackeray meet Shah Rukh Khan after the star indicated he would want to talk out any differences they had?

A day after his arrival from London, will Shah Rukh Khan meet Shiva Sena supremo Bal Thackeray to sort out differences over his comments on Pakistani players being included in the season three of the IPL? (In pics: SRK back home amid tight security)

On Saturday evening, the actor said, "I stand by what I said and I would like to say that maybe some groups misunderstood me. There is no other explanation, because I have not said anything that I am sorry for. This is not about being 'pro' another nation and 'anti' our nation; it is about being pro relationships. Maybe these groups understand that now, and I appreciate that." (Read & Watch: I stand by what I said, says SRK)

But he indicated that he would meet the Sena head if he was invited and any misunderstanding on the matter could be cleared out. (Read & Watch: I am what I am because of Mumbai: SRK )

"There is a misconception to what I said. I am what I am because of Mumbai. I want everyone in Mumbai to be happy. Why should we have this kind of stress? Let's be patient and talk it out," said Shah Rukh Khan. "I will go meet Balasaheb if he calls me. He is a senior leader. I have gone in the past when he's called me," he added.

Meanwhile, Uddhav Thackeray, the executive president of the Shiv Sena, has said Shiv Sainiks will do whatever Bal Thackeray advises them.

The Sena has threatened to disrupt the screening of 'My Name is Khan' if Shah Rukh did not apologize for his comments. The film is meant to release this Friday.
